Outside The Test

We didn't think life would survive the elements.
It couldn't do it without the havoc of competition.
But none of it is any good if you don't have photosynthesis.

Can the Phoenix really be said to survive?
The weary earth itself has outlasted it.
We didn't think, but we didn't think we couldn't think.

I'm largely grateful for these sarcastic words.
I'm not looking for the Seven Rules of Knowledge,
I'm just processing a sample without the key.
