The Glorious Well

If you are stimulated by resplendent imagery,
spend less time with family and friends,
drive drowsy and be late for work.

Station a cat at each rat hole—to watch
the rats. A desperate survey. Blood
and the desperate courage of the rats.

Like the Battle of Thermopolyea,
Inelucatable trouble. One cat,
keeping eyes, keeping days and nights.
