When she fell, her arm came down
to her hip, to her unharmed waist
when a bruised muscle lingered from its

wounded home. A deep lost
calf spotted the water wildly,
dimmed her home.

When she fell in the bird's
bony arm, it was the first time
within a day of the fall.
