Fears Leave Today


Catastrophic car bombs
deeply unsettled officials
on opposite sides.

Inside a shrill sloganeering square:
unsettling silence.
Policemen muttered; protestors sat still.

So much screaming so early.
In full force, 18,000 gathered
today in one direction.
